Yellow Chair

Great chair!!!. Jan and I saw this big yellow chair while driving around Toowoomba, we just had to pull in and have a look. The chair sits out the front of a Gallery and Art shop. Lots of wonderful gear in side.

Had fun making 2 tea cosy from a few of my old dollies. I think they look really good. ( Pity to cover the lovely tea pot) I will be giving the tea cosy to the Crowsnest Craft Shop to go in there sent sale at the Big Morning Tea.

Jan made the cute glass mushrooms. There to go out in her garden and sit under the glass plate flowers. I think there so cute and once the sun hits them the garden really sparkles. Made from glass bowls and vases.

I have a exciting week ahead. A few of the girls from Emerald and I are off to Anne Sommerlad's Autumn Quilting Triple Treat at the Blue Mountains. Can't wait. The beautiful Blue Mountains, spending time with friend, 3 days of sewing, lots of wonderful fabric shops and the food. What more can you ask for.
So the next post, I should have lots to show you.
Time to go and pack my bag, wonder what the weather is going to be like. Better put a bit of every thing in.

Quilt Designs very were you look

Mum and Jan enjoying lunch at a Turkish restaurant. The colour and design's in the restaurant were stunning. Plus the food was every good.

Mum, Jan and I had a trip to Brisbane to see Dolly Parton. She puts on a wonderful show. While walking around South Bank you couldn't help but see design's for quilts every were.

                                                       Wonderful quilt patterns

Wall of mixed tiles (quilt blocks)

The mind boggles at what you could do with this photo of chains.

Back home and in to the sewing. Finished my quilt top from Kaffe's class. Sending this one to Evol to be quilted. Sorry about the photo, I had to much light from the windows. Try for a better shot once it's quilted.
Guess what.... I finely worked out how to  get my photos to stay the right way up, every pleased with my self.

I have made up a pattern for my little iron bag. Had to make a few to get the pattern right and Gerry  also made one to check the pattern for me. The big iron was missing out so I had to make a bag for it.

Gerry's iron bag. So cute with the little iron inside.

My lovely friend Jan Scudamore and I went to the International Women's Day  put on by Maleny Magic Patchwork and Quilting shop.
Judy Hooworth was the guest speaker. "looking Forward, Looking Back 30 years of Contemporary Quilt-making". Very inspiring lady.

                                                        A few of Judy's quilts

Kim Kirkman also sang for every one. He is one of the original ten tenor. Beautiful voice, I could listen to him for hours.
Thank you Bev for a fanatic day.

Made a few more iron bags. Hopefully I will sell this lot.
Pauline and Rob will be home for a day soon, so I had better go and get busy, and clean up the mess I have made in the sewing room.
Bye
